Volunteer
Becoming a volunteer is a vary rewarding experience. It provided most people with a sense of fulfillment whether it be the chance to give back to the community they have lived in, or the chance to provide assistance to those in need. Every one of our members have found the reason that they devote their spare time doing this job and everyone will be the first to tell you how rewarding it truly is. If you would like to know how to become a volunteer just follow the easy steps below.
Step 1
The First step in becoming a volunteer for the Town of Algoma is a desire to serve the community and the interest in the fire or EMS field.
Step 2
Be willing to get the proper education to become a firefighter or first responder in the State of Wisconsin. Also follow the link to for an application and return it to the fire station or email a copy to ksawicki@toafd.net
Step 3
Once you return your application you will set up an interview with the chief. The chief performs the first interview to get to know each potential member and to provide information on how the department operates and the member requirements.
Step 4
The final step is to meet with our board of directors to get approved to join the department. Once this step is completed the chief will give you a call and provide individual specific directions at that time.
